Lionel Messi Surprisingly Reveals Why Son Thiago May Not Follow in His Footballing Footsteps

With plenty of trophies, numerous records broken and still playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, Lionel Messi will certainly go down as one of football’s all-time greats.

Given his mastery with the ball at his feet, many have expected Messi’s two sons – four-year-old Thiago and one-year-old Mateo – to follow in their father’s footsteps and become legends in their own right.
Apart from the fact that both are still children – therefore giving us no idea of what their interests may be – it has now come to light that one of Messi’s sons will likely not do so.

Why? Well, Messi recently revealed on Uruguayan TV (as quoted by the Daily Mail) that Thiago is not a big fan of a beautiful game, and only attends home matches at the Nou Camp to see his best mate!
Messi said: “He does not like [football[ much, really. He goes because Benjamin [son of Luis Suarez] and some schoolmates go, but he is not a fan. He’s not like his [Suarez’s son] who is all day with the ball.”
Fair play to Thiago. We wouldn’t want to be the child who would consistently be compared to their legendary dad either!
